Keep the golden thread of your building in one place

DomeraHub gives accountable persons and building managers one digital record of the building — documents, safety-critical assets, planned maintenance, certificates and who did what — kept up to date by the people who run it.

What the Building Safety Act 2022 asks for

Under section 88 of the Building Safety Act 2022, the accountable person for a higher-risk building must keep prescribed information and, so far as possible, keep it up to date. Government guidance calls this information the golden thread: it should be kept digitally, be secure, be available when someone needs it, and act as a single source of truth, with changes visible. In England a higher-risk building is at least 18 metres or 7 storeys high with at least two residential units.

What you need to keepWhere it lives in DomeraHub
A digital record of the building
The building file: documents, drawings and certificates kept with the building — not in inboxes and shared drives.
Safety-critical systems and assets
An asset register with fire, life-safety, lifts and plant, each with its planned maintenance schedule, certificates and expiry dates.
Who is responsible
Roles and permissions for managers, staff and contractors; every task and request has a named assignee.
What changed, and when
Each request and each asset keeps its own history: who opened it, who worked on it, what was done and when.
Accessible and up to date
One system on desktop and phone. Technicians update it from the plant room, so the record stays current.

In daily use on a high-rise office tower

DomeraHub runs day to day on a high-rise office tower in Israel: service requests, planned maintenance, contractors and the building file live in the same system the on-site team uses from their phones. It is an office building, not a UK higher-risk residential building — but the job of keeping the building’s information complete and current is the same.

Plain-English note

This page is not legal advice, and DomeraHub is not certified or approved by the Building Safety Regulator. DomeraHub is a tool that helps you keep the information the Act requires; what you must keep for your building is set by the Act, its regulations and the Regulator.
